I read a few articles on solar ballooning. Guess what? I had to make one, you can find info on how to make one or buy one at solarballons.com. Just part of my plan to conquer the sky's on a very limited budget. Alright lets get into it! The photo above I am inflating a whole bunch of trash bags tape together that make up a 12’ tetragon.
Inflating the balloon with a hairdryer, the sun will do the rest causing a hot air rises scenario .
This photo above reminds me of a Salvador Dali painting.
Could be my depraved imagination running away with me but that's what I think. Now back to the solar experiment.
once airborne I tethered the balloon off so as not to get away. The wind picked up and I needed to getter back down before she ran into some power lines. Accidently poking holes into the sides, she was done for, or at least till I patch her up with some tape.
These solar balloons are capable of traveling thousands of miles and several hundred feet in the air.

are there trout in that river? LOL
hubby used to tell me stories about sending up hydrogen balloons as a kid. He was a little mad scientist. He loved to watch them blow up. If you've ever met Hank you'd understand. He grew up all science-y.
