6 Two prop plane kite boogie

Still getting my Kap'ing legs. This was a perfect day for me to practice. At first I did not think there was enough wind to even attempt to launch the rig, very low winds, The Fled kite, rose slowly and I let out line a little at a time. Forty five minutes past and by that time 250 feet of line was let out.

I felt cocky enough to clip the camera rig on. There was little or no ground wind, but I was feeling a good pull from the kite. To my astonishment she took the rig up little by little till my line ran out (500 feet)!

The Fled flew stable and the fear of her going down had vanished. Close to sundown (the golden hour), I knew I would be getting some good photos. I took a break and sat down squinting at the sun.

A two prop plane came out of the west flying low and I know they saw my kite, because they came close and circled me in a nice wide circle. Regrettably I did not have my other camera with me and the angle on the rig was too low to have gotten a shot of the plane.

After that the sun started sinking and the kite was reeled back to the ground in a comfortable an speedy fashion. Sweet day!

That's cool that you hooked a camera to your kite... awesome!
