I just stepped out to take a piss

Where has the time gone? To me it seems like I just posted and then looking it was almost a couple of months ago. During the summer I am really busy and being a sun lover the computer screen is the last thing I want to be staring at, this also saves a persons eyes, scouts honor! To everybody that left comments about if I was alive, thank you, I am very much alive and well, the legend lives, return to the king baby and be rebranded mine! That last part, I think was heard during a entourage episode, being screamed by character Aeri Gold (crazy bastard, you'll see if you watch the show). Alright I wanted to get to what has been eating a whole bunch of my spare time.

I have been building a mobile telescopic mast

Inspired by my kite photography (KAP) and the lack of wind, I wanted to build something that would hoist my Nikon D90 50ft up in the air that could pan and tilt, also with the ability to remote shutter release. I wanted a edge on real estate photography or landscape photography and hopefully my efforts would bring some extra scratch.

And I did it

This was a earlier photo, I will bring more up to date photos of the entire apparatus. It is fully automatic and the batteries are charged by a solar panel, how geeky green is that. I also have a website up if you care to take a look, it is called, Davidson Low Aerial Photography. I hope this will be a lot of fun in a part time kind of way.

Like you I've been neglecting my blog. As I visit some of my old friends I find we're in good company. Apparently there are more interesting things to do than sit in front of a computer. LOL

Wait so I *didn't* miss so very much?!?!?!

I got a camera for my birthday that's not a point & shoot and I've been wanting one for like, ten years now! I keep looking at your kite pictures thinking, "I'd be SO SCARED to send my camera up in a kite!!!!" :-) But I'm sure you have it all safe & cozy.

It really isn't as big of a deal as most people think. For urination, they just go where they stand. In the middle of the night in cold conditions, climbers can't get out of their sleeping bags or tent to go into the cold without putting on gear, so they usually keep a separate plastic bottle to urinate in at night.
